This week on Quipsologies: More 1930's Inspiration
After presenting on Life Magazine during the 30's in class, I was excited to see another relic from this era pop up on Quipsologies. Apparently, during an estate sale in Pennsylvania a rare collection of movie posters from 1930 and 1931 were discovered. It appears the posters were actually used at a local theater and pasted on top of one another. Then they somehow ended up in someone's attic and made it to the sale some 80 years later. What is even more interesting is that the posters were hung with a wallpaper-like glue which actually helped preserve them. If you have the time the link has more posters from the rare find as well as a description of how the posters were separated and restored.
