Ahhh... so this was the week we presented our final prototypes to our magazine publishing group. As usual, my poor time management had me working right up to the presentation, but I am still relatively happy with how mine turned out.
I tried to go with a classic look but use typography and splashes of color to make it feel more inviting and fun. I felt it was important as a home decor magazine that it felt really sophisticated and inspiring. If you can't afford a home decorator, then hopefully this would be the next best thing.

Katie, your design is gorgeous and beautiful as we discussed in class, but I'm not sure that I love the sell lines. Not necessarily the sell lines, I think the placement is fine, but the typography selections don't seem to fit. The Urban Chic looks great, but I'm especially struggling with the "Festive Party Ideas" font. It seems too messy for your clean and shabby chic design. I do love your department page and I think that it is especially user friendly. The lack of heavy text graphs makes me want to read it, and want to use the information that is presented on the page itself.
